We will be leaving in May for two weeks in Japan. We are so excited to see Mitsuhiro and Tomoka again!

Last weekend my sister and her husband came to visit. We took my nephew to Disneyland for the first time ever. Even though we have season passes, I have never been to Disneyland with a kid and it was so much fun. I’ve never seen anyone so excited! We took pictures with Mickey Mouse and Minnie and rode all the small kid rides and at two years old he was tall enough to ride the Matterhorn Bobsleds.

Chase and I are privilaged to be hosting Japanese delegates that are attending the Internation Convention. Mitsuhiro and Tomoka are from Kagoshima at the southwestern tip of the Kyushu island of Japan. They are pioneers and work on the RBC building Kingdom Halls in Japan.

Saturday is going to be a pretty joyous occasion, we’re bringing home our new puppy! I’m so excited! We really need a dog. He’s a Shiba Inu and we went to see him about about a week and a half ago. He’s really cute and very sweet. I can’t wait to do all the puppy school stuff and to buy him more stuff! We may not have a puppy yet… but our house sure looks like we do. He’s going to be so spoiled.

Can you believe we I have been married a whole year! We’ve been told that the first year is always the toughest. That’s good to hear because the last year has been great for us! Time has certainly flown by and we’ve had a busy and fun year. We settled into a cute little place and we also love our new congregation and all the new friends.

In other happy news, we also have a few new additions to our family. In our immediate family we have Maggie, our pet chinchilla! She’s adorable and we’ve become the most ridiculous type of pet parents.

We’re also expecting a nephew! Matt and Jamie’s baby, Kai should be arriving any day now and we couldn’t be more excited! He will be the most adorable baby ever!

We’re excited to start our second year of marriage together and we are so appreciative of our friends and family for all the support and good times we’ve had so far.

A whole month and before you all ask we’ll tell you all that married life is good!

We are finishing up the last of our thank you cards and we just received our wedding photos from Tia Gavin. She was a wonderful photographer, attentive and personable and we couldn’t be happier with the photographs they are beautiful.

We got married! It’s all done and what a relief. The wedding was beautiful, the weather was nice and everything came together smoothly. Some photos and snapshots taken by wedding guests are posted in the Photo Album section.

We want to thank everyone for all their help, hospitality and generosity during the last few months.

Uncle Tom gave a wonderful wedding talk with just enough unintentional comic relief to keep everyone from tearing up. We will never hear the end of Chase and Tina McCormick.

Everything was beautiful. Jamie did a wonderful job with the hall. Matt VH built a very cool arch thing, even if we did end up painting it the day before and much of that credit goes to Matt D who stepped up to get it done. Jamie did so much for the wedding. Not only had bankrolled most of the operation but she hosted 8 guys in her and Matt’s small 2 bedroom cottage and she helped keep me sane amidst the insanity of that day… and of the last 3 months, 23 years… something like that.

Frank was a rock even after his foot surgery he was still able to walk down the isle and powered thought the Father of Bride dance. Anna was busy working through the whole thing as usual and everything came together beautifully. We want to thank you so much for their generosity, without them there is no way we would have been able to have such a beautiful wedding or such delicious food.

We had so much help I don’t even know where to start and there will be so many people I’ll forget to thank or who helped and I didn’t even know.

Thank you Ray and Rebecca for helping to transport all of our gifts, and so many things we needed from Southern California for the wedding, including our speaker!

Celeste, Megs, and Natalee all really helped during that crazy stressful time. Natalee wrote out all of our place cards. Celeste was ready and prepared to do anything we needed that day and really made me feel like it was our special day. Megs provided so much of our transportation and was willing to help with whatever needed to be done. All of my bridesmaids looked so amazing.

Bill and Nina helped in a billion different ways. Nina tied about 180 bows for our favors, she got the ribbon and the gorgeous red containers, she cut the wedding cake and they managed the food table and that’s just a few of the things we noticed at the wedding.

We loved our photographer, Tia Gavin she was so sweet. I can’t wait to see the photos and will post a link to her website as soon as I get them.

Jessica and Isaac not only let us put Ian in the wedding but they also housed Chase and the groomsmen and helped with the hall. Cecelia McIntyre and Pansy Van Heusen did all the flowers. The roses were beautiful, all the flower arrangements even the carnations looked good and I hate carnations.

All the ushers did a wonderful job. Everything went smoothly and it wouldn’t have without Octavio, Ian, Ben and Shannon. Anna even said most of the guests helped clean the hall and break down the tables even.

We hope all of you that were able to make it had a wonderful time, and we missed those of you who could not make the trip. Thank you to all of you who did so much for us and all of our guests for taking the time to attend our special day.

More wedding news – the weather forecast according to AccuWeather.com for Healdsburg next Saturday is favorable and hopefully it stays that way. For those of you driving or flying on Friday it look like it might get a little wet. The McCormick/Garcia wedding has at least 16 rooms booked at the Dry Creek Inn so plenty of people will be traveling for the wedding. Please have a safe flight or drive and be careful especially if conditions are wet and rainy.

We have chosen to get married at the Alexander Valley Community Hall in Healdsburg, California with the reception to follow. It’s absolutely beautiful there and we know you will all agree.
